Milford
The City of Milford is a semi-rural, family-oriented community. The city was originally called “Saw Mill Range” because the land there had been granted to the Duke of York to produce lumber for England. Its crown jewel is the Mispillion River Walk, a greenway built to preserve the city's waterfront. Numerous fresh water and saltwater sporting activities are available, including the annual World Champion Weakfish Tournament. Milford also boasts an active Parks & Recreation program, a country club, the 141-bed Milford Memorial Hospital and affordable housing within 20 minutes of Lewes and Rehoboth Beach.
