“If You Lived Here, You Would Be Home Now”
Before it officially became Bridgeville in 1871, the town was originally named “Bridge Branch”. Bridgeville is a cozy, agricultural-oriented community known for fine homes and broad tree-lined streets. Ask any local what comes to mind when Bridgeville is mentioned and they will undoubtedly say: “Apples and scrapple”! Some of the best apples around are grown in and around Bridgeville. Driving through Bridgeville during the summer, you can’t help but notice the distinctive smell of scrapple being made. RAPA Scrapple was incorporated in 1926 and has been producing those delicious blocks of scrapple ever since. Visitors from miles around make the trip to the annual Apple-Scrapple Festival, held the second week of October.
